Telegram groups can be boosted just like channels. Members with Telegram Premium give boosts, the group levels up and unlocks stories, a group emoji pack, unlimited voice-to-text for all members, cover colors and wallpapers. The set of features is not the same as for channels, and admins can also give boosters special permissions.
How group boosts differ from channel boosts
The mechanics are the same: members with Premium give boosts, and the group gains levels. The features those levels unlock differ.
Telegram group boost levels
Each level keeps everything unlocked before it and adds one more story a day. Group levels according to Telegram:

How to boost a Telegram group
A member with Telegram Premium can boost a group right from its profile, no link needed.
Open the group profile
Open the group and tap its name at the top of the chat.
Open the menu
Tap ⋮ on Android or ··· on iPhone and choose Boost Group.
Give a boost
Telegram shows the group's level and how many boosts it needs for the next one. Confirm the boost.
Share the link
The same screen has the group's boost link. Pin it in the chat so members can boost in one tap.
"Boost this group to send messages": what it means
Admins who can ban users may let members who boosted the group ignore slow mode and other restrictions. The admin decides how many boosts that takes. If Telegram asks you to boost a group to send messages, the group restricts messages and lifts the limits only for boosters.

The threshold is from 1 to 8 boosts. Setting it to 0 turns the option off.

Messages from boosters show a badge that changes with every boost they send.
No Premium?
Without Premium you cannot boost. Ask an admin to lift the restriction or wait out slow mode.
How many boosts does a group need?
It depends on the number of members: the bigger the group, the more boosts each level needs. The Boost Group screen shows the current level and how many boosts are missing for the next one.
Note your group's numbers before ordering: the current level, the boosts it has and how many the next level needs.
How to get boosts for a group
Start with the members: in an active group some of them already have Premium. If that is not enough by the date you need, there are three more ways.

Can you boost a Telegram group without Premium?
No. Only users with Telegram Premium can boost groups and channels.
What does boosting a Telegram group do?
Boosts raise the group's level. Levels unlock stories, cover colors and logo, a group emoji pack, unlimited voice-to-text for all members, emoji statuses and wallpapers.
What does "Boost this group to send messages" mean?
The group has restrictions, such as slow mode, and the admins lifted them only for members who boosted the group a set number of times, from 1 to 8.
How many boosts can one member give a group?
All their free boosts: 4 with a subscription they bought, plus 3 for every Premium gift they send.
Which group level unlocks voice-to-text?
Level 6. From then on, every member can convert voice and video messages to text without limits.
Do group boosts expire?
A boost stays while the booster's Premium is active, or until they move it to another chat. Each boost can be moved once every 24 hours.
Can I buy boosts for a Telegram group?
Yes. Order them with a direct link to the group, not an invite link that requires join approval.
